An elegant, evergreen bush or tree, makes an excellent, specimen plant for a Mediterranean style garden. It bears long, grey-green leaves and produces fragrant, tiny, off-white flowers during the summer which are followed by edible, green, round fruits. These trees can also be container grown, and are the perfect decorative tree to place either side of a front door or outdoor stairs. Olives are best planted in sunny, sheltered positions in well drained soil.
