Carpinus Fontaine is a gorgeous variety of Hornbeam, a narrow growing tree, forming a columnar pyramid shape as it matures. A perfect specimen hedging or row of trees solution where soil conditions are poor or for very exposed areas. Very hardy & semi evergreen, the leaves in spring and summer are lush green in colour turning golden brown in winter. Again similar to the Beech tree, however does drop slightly more leaves than Beech. Ideal hedging tree to create privacy and can also be used as a windbreak or noise barrier.
