Planting & Care Guide (Bare Root Trees):
Our trees are delivered root-wrapped in moist compost, ensuring they arrive nursery-fresh. This means you don’t need to plant immediately — they’ll stay fresh for several days or even several weeks, giving you time to plant at your convenience.
Soak roots (still wrapped or unwrapped) in a bucket of water for 1–2 hours before planting to hydrate
Dig a hole large enough to spread the roots comfortably, and position the tree so the graft union sits just above soil level
Backfill with soil, firm in gently, and water thoroughly
Stake if required, especially in exposed areas
Mulch around the base (avoiding the trunk) to retain moisture and suppress weeds
Keep well-watered through the first growing season. Prune lightly in winter to shape and encourage strong growth
With proper care, your Conference pear tree will reward you with beautiful spring flowers and a bountiful harvest of crisp, juicy pears.
