Corylus Avellena, the common hazelnut tree is a superb specimen which has large catkins appearing in late winter - early spring and are followed by delicious edible nuts in the autumn. Bears lush dark green attractive heart shaped leaves. Makes an excellent hedging plant or grown as a specimen tree within a garden, can also be kept smaller and controlled in a large patio pot. Plant in full sun or a semi shade position, will tolerate most soil types. Will grow to approx 10ft+ but can be pruned to desired height. Can also be kept as bush.
