Escallonia Red Elf is a more compact variety of this wonderful evergreen bushy shrub, has small dark green glossy leaves and masses of deep red flowers in mid summer. Will grow in any garden in full sun or semi shade and will only grow to approx 4-5ft tall when mature, however can be pruned to keep smaller, perfect border filler or can be used as a gorgeous hedging plant.
