Flowering Cherry Tree
(Prunus Amanogawa – Ornamental, approx. 15–20ft / 4.5–6m at maturity)
Flowers appear in mid to late spring, producing clusters of delicate, light pink blooms that highlight the tree’s elegant narrow form. The tree’s new foliage emerges bright green, adding seasonal texture and gentle structure.
As it matures, Amanogawa maintains its upright, compact columnar crown with softly arching branches, providing year-round ornamental interest without overwhelming its surroundings.
Fully hardy and adaptable, this variety thrives in most soil types and performs best in full sun or lightly sheltered positions. It is perfectly suited for planting directly into the ground to allow it to develop its natural ornamental character.

Planting & Care Guide (Bare Root Trees)
Our bare root trees are root-wrapped in moist compost, ensuring they arrive in excellent condition and do not require immediate planting. This gives you flexibility while maintaining nursery-fresh quality.
Planting steps:
Soak roots in water for 1–2 hours before planting
Dig a hole wide enough to allow the roots to spread naturally
Position the tree so the root flare sits at soil level
Backfill, firm gently, and water thoroughly
Stake during establishment, especially in exposed locations
Mulch around the base (keeping clear of the trunk) to retain moisture
Water regularly throughout the first growing season
Once established, Prunus Amanogawa is low-maintenance and exceptionally rewarding, delivering:
Elegant pale pink flowers in spring
Seasonal foliage colour and graceful upright structure through summer
Compact, columnar form suitable for narrow spaces or feature planting
Whether planted as a standalone focal point, in a border, or as part of a mixed ornamental scheme, Prunus Amanogawa Flowering Cherry Tree is a timeless and refined choice — grown with care and delivered direct from our nursery to your garden.
