Prunus ‘Amanogawa’
(Flagpole Flowering Cherry – Columnar, deciduous, ideal for small gardens)
Amanogawa Cherry Tree – Known as the “Flagpole Cherry” for its tall, narrow habit, this beloved ornamental tree produces masses of semi-double pale pink flowers in late spring, with a light fragrance that attracts bees and pollinators. The bronze-tinged young leaves mature to mid-green, turning soft orange-red in autumn. Perfect for city gardens, courtyards, or as an architectural accent in mixed borders.

Remove from the pot, gently loosen roots, and place so the top of the rootball is level with the ground
Backfill, firm gently, and water in thoroughly
Stake if needed, especially in exposed areas
Mulch annually to retain moisture and suppress weeds
Prune only to remove dead or damaged growth, usually in late summer
