Grown with care and guaranteed quality — don’t settle for lower standards when you can invest in a tree that truly lasts
Whether planted as a focal point or as part of a carefully designed landscape, Cheal’s Weeping Cherry delivers unforgettable spring colour and timeless elegance.
Our trees are delivered root-wrapped in moist compost, ensuring they arrive nursery-fresh. This means you don’t need to plant immediately — they’ll stay fresh for several days or even several weeks, giving you time to plant at your convenience.
Soak roots (still wrapped or unwrapped) in a bucket of water for 1–2 hours before planting
Dig a hole large enough to spread the roots comfortably, positioning the tree so the root collar sits at soil level
Backfill with soil, firm in gently, and water thoroughly
Stake if required, especially in exposed areas
Mulch around the base (avoiding the trunk) to retain moisture and suppress weeds
Keep well-watered through the first growing season. Prune lightly after flowering if required to maintain shape
With proper care, your Prunus ‘Kiku-shidare-zakura’ (Cheal’s Weeping) will reward you with breathtaking blossom displays and decades of ornamental beauty.
