Prunus ‘Otto Luyken’ is a superb compact evergreen Laurel, and this pack contains 6 large, bushy approximately 30–50cm plants, each supplied established in a substantial 3 litre pot. With their naturally dense, spreading growth, these are an excellent choice for creating attractive lower evergreen hedges, boundaries and year-round garden structure.
‘Otto Luyken’ produces handsome glossy dark green evergreen foliage on a naturally compact, bushy plant. In spring, upright clusters of attractive white flowers appear above the foliage, often followed by dark berries later in the season, adding further ornamental interest.
Unlike larger-growing Cherry Laurel varieties, ‘Otto Luyken’ naturally develops into a lower, compact and manageable hedge, making it particularly useful where a full-sized Laurel hedge would become too large. For hedging, we recommend approximately 2 plants per metre, meaning this pack of 6 will cover approximately 3 metres of hedging.
