Callistemon rigidus, commonly known as the Red Bottlebrush, is a striking evergreen shrub, supplied as an impressive XL approximately 3–4ft tall established plant in a substantial 5 litre pot. At this size, these are well-developed nursery plants offering excellent height and presence, making them perfect for instant gardening and immediate impact.
The main attraction is its spectacular bright red bottlebrush-shaped flowers, which create an exotic display against the narrow evergreen foliage. The unusual flowers are also highly attractive to bees and other pollinating insects, adding both colour and wildlife interest to the garden.
At approximately 3–4ft tall, these XL plants provide considerably more immediate impact than smaller young Callistemon. They are superb for feature planting, sunny borders, Mediterranean-style gardens, courtyards and large patio containers, providing valuable evergreen structure throughout the year.
