Bring timeless elegance, magnificent evergreen foliage and spectacular summer flowers to your garden with our Extra Large Magnolia grandiflora Evergreen Magnolia Tree, supplied as an impressive 4–5ft tall established specimen in a substantial 7.5/10 litre nursery pot. Renowned for its luxurious glossy leaves, enormous creamy-white fragrant flowers and beautiful architectural appearance, this outstanding ornamental tree is perfect for instant gardening and creating a mature, established garden effect.
Unlike traditional deciduous magnolias, Magnolia grandiflora retains its beautiful evergreen foliage throughout the year, providing exceptional structure, greenery and ornamental interest across every season. Its large, leathery, deep green leaves have an attractive glossy finish, often complemented by warm, rusty-brown undersides, creating a distinctive and luxurious appearance.
During summer and into early autumn, established Magnolia grandiflora trees can produce magnificent large, creamy-white, cup-shaped flowers, often reaching an impressive 20–25cm across. These spectacular blooms release a wonderfully sweet, citrus-like fragrance, bringing a beautiful sensory experience to gardens, terraces and outdoor seating areas.
Magnolia grandiflora is particularly admired for its elegant, architectural growth habit and impressive evergreen presence. Its naturally upright form makes it an outstanding choice for feature planting, established borders, formal garden designs and attractive evergreen screening. It can also be trained against a sunny, sheltered wall to create a spectacular living garden feature.
Our Extra Large 4–5ft specimens provide an excellent head start compared with smaller young trees, making them particularly desirable for gardeners, landscapers and garden designers seeking instant gardening solutions, established evergreen structure and an impressive mature garden appearance.

Position: Full sun or partial shade, ideally in a warm, sheltered position protected from strong, cold winds. A sunny position encourages the best flowering display.
Soil: Prefers fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil, ideally neutral to slightly acidic. Avoid very alkaline or permanently waterlogged conditions.
Watering: Water thoroughly after planting and regularly during establishment, especially during prolonged dry periods. Apply mulch around the base to help retain soil moisture.
Growth Habit: Naturally upright, spreading evergreen tree with a dense, architectural crown and large glossy leaves. Given suitable conditions and sufficient space, Magnolia grandiflora can eventually develop into a substantial tree exceeding 10 metres in height.
Maintenance: Generally low maintenance once established. Remove damaged or unwanted branches when necessary and avoid heavy pruning. Young trees benefit from protection during severe winter weather, particularly in exposed locations.
