Syringa ‘Red Pixie’ is a beautiful compact-growing Lilac, supplied as an XL approximately 40–60cm tall established plant in a substantial 5 litre pot. The XL specification refers to the size and maturity of the plant supplied, while ‘Red Pixie’ itself remains naturally more compact than many traditional Lilacs. This makes it an excellent choice for instant gardening, particularly where space is more limited.
‘Red Pixie’ is prized for its masses of rich reddish-pink flower buds opening into beautiful pink-red fragrant flowers. The colourful flower clusters create an impressive display during late spring and early summer, standing beautifully above the attractive green foliage and bringing both colour and fragrance to the garden.
At approximately 40–60cm tall and established in a generous 5 litre pot, this is a substantial nursery-grown shrub offering an excellent head start over smaller young Lilacs. Its naturally compact habit makes it particularly useful for smaller gardens, mixed borders, cottage gardens, feature planting and large patio containers.
