Cytisus ‘Lena’, commonly known as Broom, is a spectacular spring-flowering ornamental shrub, supplied as a fantastic value pack of 3 large established plants, approximately 2–3ft tall, in 2 or 3 litre nursery pots. Renowned for its beautiful multicoloured blossom and naturally graceful growth habit, this outstanding variety provides immediate colour, structure and seasonal interest, making it an excellent choice for instant gardening and creating a mature garden effect.
During late spring and early summer, Cytisus ‘Lena’ produces an abundance of vibrant red, orange and golden-yellow pea-like flowers, covering its slender green stems in a magnificent display of warm, fiery colour. The striking combination of rich red and golden tones makes this one of the most eye-catching flowering Broom varieties, particularly when planted together in groups.
Its naturally bushy, upright and gently arching growth habit creates an attractive ornamental feature, while its slender green stems provide additional garden interest beyond the flowering season. Cytisus ‘Lena’ thrives in sunny positions with well-drained soil and is particularly well suited to cottage gardens, informal borders, gravel gardens and naturalistic planting schemes.
At approximately 2–3ft tall when supplied, these established nursery plants offer considerably more immediate impact than smaller young shrubs. Supplied as a collection of 3 large potted plants, they are ideal for creating a colourful flowering display, filling garden borders and adding a spectacular splash of spring colour.
