Our Dwarf Patio Greengage Plum Fruit Tree (Prunus domestica) is a beautiful, compact fruiting tree, specially grown for patios, terraces, courtyards and smaller gardens. Supplied as an established miniature tree in a substantial 5 litre nursery pot, this traditional Greengage offers the opportunity to enjoy delicious home-grown fruit without needing a large garden or traditional orchard.
These specially trained miniature patio specimens feature an attractive branching fruiting head, creating the elegant appearance of a traditional orchard tree in a much smaller space. Their compact, decorative shape makes them particularly suitable for large patio containers, bringing immediate structure, character and seasonal interest to smaller outdoor spaces.
Greengages are among the most highly prized dessert plums, admired for their beautiful white spring blossom, followed by delicious green to golden-green fruits during late summer. Their exceptionally sweet, juicy and richly flavoured flesh makes them a favourite for eating freshly picked, as well as enjoying in homemade jams, preserves, tarts and desserts.
Unlike many traditional purple plum varieties, Greengages are particularly valued for their distinctive green fruits and wonderfully rich, honey-sweet flavour. Their attractive spring flowers, fresh summer foliage and colourful ripening fruits make them both ornamental and productive additions to the garden.
With its manageable patio form, this established Greengage Plum is ideal for large decorative containers, sunny patios, sheltered courtyards and smaller garden borders. Combining beautiful spring blossom, attractive green foliage and delicious home-grown fruit, it makes a wonderful addition to any garden where outdoor space is limited.

Please note: Greengage Plum trees are deciduous, naturally losing their foliage during autumn and winter. Trees may arrive without leaves during the dormant season. Flowering and fruiting are seasonal and cannot be guaranteed at the time of dispatch. Tree height, branching, shape and fullness will naturally vary. For best results, grow in a large, well-drained patio container in a sunny, sheltered position, water regularly during the growing season and prune during summer as required to maintain the desired miniature patio shape. Fruit production, pollination requirements and eventual tree size will depend on the particular Greengage variety, rootstock and growing conditions.
