Our Dwarf Patio Purple Leaf Peach ‘Rubira’ Fruit Tree (Prunus persica ‘Rubira’) is a striking ornamental and fruiting tree, specially grown for patios, terraces, courtyards and smaller gardens. Supplied as an established 3–4ft tall miniature tree in a substantial 5 litre nursery pot, this beautiful variety combines spectacular pink blossom, distinctive purple foliage and the opportunity to enjoy home-grown peaches.
These specially trained miniature patio specimens feature a clear stem of approximately 2ft tall, topped with an attractive branching head. Their elegant compact tree shape makes them particularly suitable for large decorative patio containers, bringing immediate height, structure and exceptional ornamental colour to smaller outdoor spaces.
Peach ‘Rubira’ is particularly admired for its magnificent deep pink to rosy-red spring blossom, which creates a spectacular contrast against its emerging rich purple-red foliage. Unlike traditional green-leaved Peach trees, ‘Rubira’ develops beautiful dark burgundy and purple foliage, providing outstanding colour throughout the growing season.
In favourable growing conditions, the beautiful flowers may develop into small, red-skinned peaches during summer. Although ‘Rubira’ is primarily valued for its exceptional ornamental qualities, its fruit can also be enjoyed when ripe, offering the added pleasure of growing your own peaches at home.
With its attractive miniature patio form, this distinctive Peach is ideal for sunny patios, decorative containers, sheltered courtyards, cottage gardens and smaller garden borders. Combining colourful spring blossom, dramatic summer foliage and potential fruit production, it makes an outstanding feature tree for gardeners looking for something a little different.

Please note: Peach ‘Rubira’ is deciduous, naturally losing its foliage during autumn and winter. Trees may arrive without leaves during the dormant season. Flowering and fruiting are seasonal and cannot be guaranteed at the time of dispatch. Trees are supplied approximately 3–4ft tall with a clear stem of around 2ft, although branching, shape and fullness will naturally vary. ‘Rubira’ is primarily grown for its ornamental blossom and foliage, and fruit production will depend on growing conditions. Peach blossom is vulnerable to late spring frosts, and container-grown trees may require additional winter protection. For best results, grow in a warm, sunny, sheltered position with good drainage and protect from prolonged winter rainfall to help reduce the risk of peach leaf curl.
